Roberta Savani nasce a Modena il 7 Agosto 1961, in una città che, sin dai primi anni, nutre la sua naturale inclinazione verso l’arte. Fin da bambina, mostra un’innata curiosità per il disegno e per la creazione con materiali semplici e naturali, come la pasta di legno e la plastilina. Questi primi anni sono caratterizzati da un’esplorazione istintiva della forma e della materia, una ricerca spontanea che si rivelerà fondamentale per il suo percorso artistico.
Nonostante questa propensione creativa, Roberta decide di intraprendere un percorso di studi umanistici, scegliendo una strada lontana dall’arte visiva. La vita, però, la porta verso un percorso ancora più inaspettato: quello della tecnologia. Diventa Analista/Programmatore, una professione che, per molti anni, mette da parte la sua passione per il disegno. Le matite rimangono chiuse in un cassetto, insieme ai sogni d’infanzia.
Ma il destino, spesso, ci riporta sulle strade che avevamo dimenticato. Nel 2013, durante una pausa dal lavoro, Roberta Savani riscopre il potere liberatorio del disegno. È un momento quasi catartico: senza pianificazioni né aspettative, la matita torna a scorrere sulla carta. La sua passione riprende vita, e questa volta è diversa, più matura, più profonda. Si lascia trasportare da un impulso interiore, utilizzando solo matite 9B e limitando la sua espressione al bianco e nero.
Negli anni successivi, il suo percorso artistico subisce una nuova evoluzione. Nel 2018, il colore fa timidamente il suo ingresso nei suoi disegni, ma non è un cambiamento casuale. La scoperta definitiva di Roberta arriva con la forma del cerchio, una figura che rappresenta per lei la perfezione, l’equilibrio tra caos ed emozione.
Oggi, Roberta Savani continua a disegnare con la stessa intensità emotiva che ha caratterizzato i suoi primi schizzi da bambina. Le sue opere non rappresentano figure riconoscibili o paesaggi, ma sono piuttosto un’espressione astratta delle sensazioni e delle emozioni più profonde. Ogni disegno è un viaggio interiore, una traccia di quel silenzio emotivo che solo la matita riesce a cogliere.

Roberta Savani was born in Modena on August 7, 1961, in a city that, from her early years, nurtured her natural inclination toward art. From a young age, she displayed an innate curiosity for drawing and creating with simple, natural materials like wood paste and modeling clay. These early years were marked by an instinctive exploration of form and matter, a spontaneous search that would prove fundamental to her artistic journey.
Despite her creative inclination, Roberta decided to pursue humanistic studies, choosing a path far from visual art. However, life led her in an even more unexpected direction: technology. She became an Analyst/Programmer, a profession that, for many years, caused her to set aside her passion for drawing. The pencils were left in a drawer, along with her childhood dreams.
But fate often brings us back to the paths we had forgotten. In 2013, during a break from work, Roberta Savani rediscovered the liberating power of drawing. It was an almost cathartic moment: without plans or expectations, the pencil once again moved across the paper. Her passion was rekindled, and this time it was different—more mature, more profound. She allowed herself to be guided by an inner impulse, using only 9B pencils and limiting her expression to black and white.
In the following years, her artistic path underwent a new evolution. In 2018, color timidly made its way into her drawings, but it was not a random change. Roberta's ultimate discovery came with the shape of the circle, a figure that represents for her perfection, the balance between chaos and emotion.
Today, Roberta Savani continues to draw with the same emotional intensity that characterized her early sketches as a child. Her works do not depict recognizable figures or landscapes; instead, they are an abstract expression of deep sensations and emotions. Each drawing is an inner journey, a trace of that emotional silence that only the pencil can capture.
